Manipulating myself to achieve greatness.

Day 1: Turning myself into a $1M Business in just 32 Months—With No Funding & Only 3 Hours a Day

We all middle-class want an autonomous, profitable, and fulfilling life. Be our own boss, have enough money to live a decent life, and Die with a smile on our face. However, in reality, we work 9-5 jobs. Our salary barely covers our monthly bills. We live our lives doing the opposite of what really matters. We sacrifice financial freedom for stability.

But what else could we have done? Entrepreneurship is risky. Moreover, it needs funding. With one mistake, we could lose our savings in a blink. The rich have access to capital, but starting a business with no money is much harder for the middle class. We want something low-risk, profitable, and manageable in our spare time—a business that we can build while keeping our jobs. This covers our initial external problems. We will focus on these problems in the next article. Where I’ll be sharing with you how I plan to turn myself into a $1 million business in revenue in just 32 months, working only 3 hours a day without any funding.

Why Most People Fail to Escape Their 9-5 Jobs

Let’s call out our initial internal problems. Salary is like a drug. Once you take it, you keep yearning for it. By nature, humans are adaptive animals. If we live a sub-standard life long enough, we become accustomed to it. We lose our drive to get better. The average salaryman living a sub-standard life is less motivated to improve his life than others. Once we start a job, we start procrastinating at home. We create excuses to start meaningful projects. We do not finish what we start. We lack discipline. Our actions become inconsistent. We fail to reach our goals.

How to Stay Consistent and Build a Business in Your Spare Time

Dr. Robert Cialdini is an international persuasion, conditioning, and negotiation expert. He discovered the six universal rules of persuasion. “Commitment and coherence” is one of them. It says that people tend to be consistent with what has been said or done before. The “rule of commitment and coherence” is much more effective if the commitment is made, and besides being said, it is also WRITTEN, which is a good thing. Also, if what has been said and written is also made PUBLIC, then the technique becomes extremely powerful.

We all use social media. We procrastinate for hours and hours with mindless scrolling. End of the day, we convince ourselves that 24 hours is not enough to realize our dreams. We don’t have the time to do anything besides our job. Some realize the trap but end up blaming social media. Some even uninstall social media to improve productivity and consistency. But later, they find themselves installing Call of Duty or PUBG. However, now there’s a third option that few catch on.

Use social media to your advantage. Whatever project you think matters, build it in public. Are you trying to lose weight? Commit to it. Say it, and write about it on social media. Let people know what you are working on. Why? Because it triggers the “rule of commitment and coherence.” You are manipulating yourself to stay consistent with what you said.
